Xencelabs at Autodesk Hits Raleigh Event

12/01/2022

Autodesk’s many applications are what professionals in the Media & Entertainment industry use for their high-scale projects involving VFX and 3D. Their workflows benefit from learning any new upgrades to Autodesk’s popular applications like 3ds Max, Maya, Bifrost, Arnold, and ShotGrid. Autodesk brings relaxed community-building and learning events to many locations across the country. Xencelabs was excited to be invited to the Autodesk Hits Raleigh event because our products work so well in tandem with their applications.

During the event, Michelle Martorell from Xencelabs started the evening by introducing the Xencelabs brand and our family of products. Visitors were able to try out various pen tablets on the demo station along with the Quick Keys remote. Michelle showed the versatility of our tools with customizable settings for each individual user.

Many area professionals attended the event along with numerous instructors and students from nearby universities including Living Arts College, Wake Tech, and William Peace University. They tried out Xencelabs products and were given a deep dive into 3ds Max by Autodesk’s Jose Elizardo, Sachin Trivedi presented information about ShotGrid, and Duane Rutkowski presented all about Maya.

Later in the evening, after presentations, and great food from our hosts at Carolina Ale House in Downtown Raleigh, Xencelabs was happy to raffle off shirts and tote bags, along with a grand prize of a Pen Tablet Medium Bundle SE. The coveted nebula white tablet was won by Alex Carr, a student from Living Arts College studying game design and 3D. Congratulations Alex!

We would like to thank Juan Cuello from Autodesk for setting up this great event, and Charlie and Lisa Breakiron from Breakiron Animation and Design for their technical support. We appreciate everyone in the gaming and entertainment community who attended and all the students who made the event so lively and fun for all.

Xencelabs is always looking for chances to engage our community with talks, learning opportunities, and teaming up with industry partners. On that note, we will be partnering again for the “Autodesk Hits Portland” event on December 1st. Georgia Powers from Xencelabs will be there to chat all about our products, set up a demo station, and raffle off some great products. See you in Portland!
