RENDERMAN ART & SCIENCE FAIR GIVEAWAY

PIXAR'S RENDERMAN ART CHALLENGE

This year's theme will be officially announced by the RenderMan team during SIGGRAPH on August 13th!

Whether you're an aspiring student in art and design or a seasoned professional in animation or VFX, this is your opportunity to push your creative boundaries and showcase your skills using RenderMan software. The 2025 challenge will be a theme-based online competition, with participants gaining access to exclusive guidance from Pixar professionals to help them make the most of RenderMan's powerful toolset. Pixar also provides production-quality assets, sometimes even including a fully rigged character—to support your creative journey.

These challenges are designed to foster community engagement and provide a platform for artists to learn, grow, and share. Judging criteria often include both technical elements like shading and lighting, as well as artistic qualities such as composition and storytelling.

It's not just about producing a beautiful final image...it's about the story you tell, the techniques you use, and how you share your creative process with the global RenderMan community.

The winners will be announced by the panel of judges on November 13th, 2025.
