Tips & Tricks 1 - Beta Testers, Active Area,

12/02/2022

Summer is almost gone, and hot August nights are upon us. (Yes, that was a Neil Diamond reference!)

We hope that everyone is having a great summer, that you are doing well, and have found some inspiration in this late summer session. When posting your artwork/creations created with your Xencelabs products, please include the hashtag #Xencelabs or #CreateWithXencelabs so we can feature your art on our social media pages!

Tip 1

A call-out for Beta testers:

Xencelabs has added a new feature on our Download page for beta drivers. You can take it for a test drive and give us your feedback.

The image above is the area of the driver page that you would access to download the current Xencelabs driver. [1] Below the driver download button, we have added a Beta Version. If this link is visible, there is a beta driver that you can take for a test drive.

We would like to hear about your experiences testing the beta driver. Please email our Customer Care team at OnlineSupport@xencelabs.com. When you do email us, please include the following information:

  • Your operating system and version

  • The applications you are using

  • The issue you or feature request you would like to report or suggest

  • Screenshots are encouraged.

Tip 2

Can I change the active area on my Pen Tablet?

Yes, and it is easy to do. Here is the step-by-step guide to changing your active area. There are a couple of reasons why you might want to do this:

  • You use your Pen Tablet as a mouse replacement

  • You do not want to move your hand so much

  • It is faster to navigate your displays when you have a smaller active area.

Tip 3

Why is there a "?" on my Application row?

The reason for the "?" on the application row can be caused by uninstalling an application from your computer or performing an update to an existing application. The update creates a new application folder and removes the old one.

TIP OF THE MONTH

For those that use the Xencelabs Quick Keys. Here is a neat setup that you can apply to a mode on your Dial. Instead of creating an Undo (Ctrl+Z) or a Redo (Ctrl+Shift+Z), assign them to two buttons on your Quick Keys. Set them up on the Dial. Check out this FAQ link
